From the beginning of May through to the end of August is the best time to visit Milton Keynes. The school holidays are packed with family fun for young and old alike. Get close up and personal by visiting Woburn Safari Park or try your hand at Formula Fast Karting, The cheapest time to stay here is out of peak season during the beginning of November until early April. The weather is cooler and there aren’t so many holidaymakers around.
There’s always plenty to do and see when on holiday in Milton Keynes. It’s a relatively new city built in the 1960s and 70s with open green spaces for leisure activities. Towcester race meeting fixtures are held throughout the year while the venue also caters for hospitality, conferences and weddings. This cosmopolitan town also has an exciting mixture of pubs and clubs offering live entertainment most nights of the week. Eating out isn’t a problem with more than 350 restaurants and cafes to choose from. Whether it’s a full English breakfast, a la carte menu or a sumptuous buffet, Milton Keynes has it.
Getting around the city is easy and cheap to do, especially by bus. There are regular bus services to the city centre, train station, coach station and surrounding areas such as Woburn Sands, Bletchley or Hanslope. How about hiring a bicycle? You can use the many bike-only paths in and around town.
