Cheap Car Rentals in Aguadilla

I’m pretty sure this place is a bait and switch scam. The customer service rep shuttled us from the airport but when we arrived he immediately told us our reservation had been cancelled because our flight had been significantly delayed and they were completely out of cars. PR is an island and inventory is finite, so this is not an unheard of situation. However, that was the only flight arriving in Aguadilla that afternoon and we were the first and only customers on the shuttle. And if they were out of cars, the rep would have been aware before picking us up. He was very quick to recommend going to the local private rental company across the parking lot, since we had already been shuttled from the airport and there is no ride share and limited taxi service in town. Our Airbnb was half a mile away so my husband, 5 year old, and I ended up walking on the shoulder of a major roadway with all our luggage in the rain and made a car reservation at Hertz for the next day. You’re better off at literally any other major rental company in town—Hertz, Thrifty, Avis, National, Alamo, Enterprise lots are all walking distance from the arrivals terminal and have plenty of inventory.

The actual process of picking up/dropping off the car was quick and easy. The shuttle picking us up from the airport took close to 30min after calling almost 10 times. That was a big turn off. The additional fees also were unexpected and the car ended up costing over $100 than what I had reserved it for.

Just the hours. Lost 5 hours because the rental close at 5om and my flight was at 10:pm. Other than that everything was perfect

Pickup was quick and easy. No nonsense fees and very straightforward. Thank you for that. Wish our car was a bit cleaner and in better shape, but it is a rental by the beach and gets beaten up. Overall happy with our car and it did the job. Will rent again from Alamo.

Didn’t like that I paid for insurance when renting the car and then when I got to location to pick up car I was charged for additional insurance saying it was separate.

Clean the car properly, car was smelling like sweat and seat was stained. Bad experience and extra fees to picked up.

I was traveling alone with young children and they left me stranded by giving my vehicle to someone else after Spirit has delayed my flight due to no pilot available which was completely out of my control. Less than one hour is all I took for them to hand my reservation to someone else. My rental was to be picked up at 2am and we landed right before 3am, by the time they answered the call, they said it was too late and my car was given to someone else. I was traveling with a 7yr and 11yr old. I didn’t make it to my destination until 8am due to being left stranded. It was a horrible experience.

Customer service at counter. They don’t really care there.

Avis contacted me the day before i was to puck up my car I told them that the plane would not be arriving until almost 4am and asked when the counter was closed. They said 4am. But told me someone would stay until i arrived. Went right to counter and no one was there. I had to rent from Hertz for a day and return to swap cars the next day. Also Avis gave me a car that the registration expired while i had the car. I was stopped 3 times by the police about it. Tried to call Avis during their hours with no answer. Drove back to airport and someone was there. I asked why no on answers their phone and they just shrugged.

Auto was muddy, interior & trunk totally covered with sand. Wheel wells full of mud & grass clippings.

I arrived by flight and no car was available for 3 hours

Told me they did not have a car for me!! Not a good start. Talked him into finding me one. PIA

Due to flight cancellation I had to travel to different airport and drop off car at different location and was charged additional cost. I asked Hertz if the could work with me to waive the cost since the change in drop location was out of my control. They would not even attempt to assist.
