The signage at Chania airport could be clearer for those who are not arriving via plane. I went to the lot only to be told I had to go inside to check in. After walking back and forth, there was quite a bit of time waiting for the attendants to pick up and bring the cars to the lot. They were working very hard but the whole process seemed to take a very long time.

The only thing that could of been better would to have full for full fuel as guessing how much you have used, always means that you over fill the car beyond what you have used

Caldera were excellent as they had NO booking from Kayak but were still able to find us a 9 seater minibus for me and my family. If not then we would of either had 2 vehicles or no vehicle at all

No booking from Kayak to Caldera, lucky we had a voucher booking reference with us. Also no pick up from airport as arranged and I had to leave my children and elderly parents at the airport while I had to walk and find the hire company. Process took over an hour as they had to locate a vehicle large enough for the family which left them worrying at the airport.

My licensed was expired and the guy told us we couldn’t use my mom to reserve because he “has no cars” when we already had had a reservation. ended up using a different service because he refused to rent to us

A very rude lady claimed that I was late. So she had given our car to someone else. When I asked for her name so as to be able to report the incident, she threatened to call the police. Well done Avis. One more reason why I never use Avis unless there is no alternative.
