Cheap Car Rentals in Pereira Matecana Airport

OKd car. No radio. Bad tires. Left us stranded, had to be picked up via tow truck

Because the UI is so bad (each time I searched, it changed the month), I ended up booking March instead of February (my dates in February corresponded to the same days in March). The Sixt agent told me he didn’t have the car I ordered so he couldn’t change the booking (I have photo evidence of the car being on the Sixt lot), but instead he hired me a small car for one night to get the the hotel and then I came back and picked up a different car that he arranged from another company and had to pay cash. I have contacted Kayak with evidence that the booking was cancellable, but I haven’t been able to contact Sixt through the number on the booking, nor e-mail, nor the website to cancel or even change the booking. Kayak are taking an age to do anything, so I’m reporting the booking charge on my credit card as fraud.

I was forced to take a rental insurance, even though I already have one worth my car insurance company, so they made me pay extra for that (else, they would charge 5k to my credit card). Everything else was OK, but that was really distasteful.

Jeison was a superb agent. A little frustrated I did not have the size car I wanted, but he solved the problem.

I reserved an automatic car and they only had Manual.

Was charged to wash the car after drop off, this should be standard protocol and included in any rental, not an additional cost to the customer.

They told me to return the car to a location that is closed on the day I return the car. Major airport and driving issues occurred.

First of all I had a hard time to figure out where was Hertz, since there is no sign and it is under a local rental company that don’t even have a Hertz Sign. Then there is extra fees at time of Pick up. They give you an option to pay for them to clean the car when you drop it off or if you decide to turn it in dirty then the clean up fee is more. Also when I did the reservation, I order an Automatic car and they gave me a a stick shift. When I went inside to tell them they didn’t give me an automatic, they wanted to charge me more which they did. At time of return they came to get the car outside and had a total different contract showing I supposedly rented the car for 1 day and needed to go pay for two more days, Until I showed them the original contract showing that I had rented the car from May 27 till May 30th. Then all of sudden it was ok and I didn’t need to pay for the extra two days. The y tried scamming me to many times and it is not trust worthy. I prefer to pay for the car when I do the reservation to avoid paying extra, like I did. I reserved an automatic car for 3 days for $122.00 but at the end I had to pay a total of $186.00. I did ad full coverage which it was an extra $10.00 a day which it would have been $152.00 but I had to pay $186.00.
