The car itself was in good condition.

There was no one at the desk at the airport at my reserved time. I waited 30 minutes for someone to show up. Then I was told the vehicle was not at the airport. That wasn't so bad, as the main Avis office was closer to where I was going anyway. However after getting to the main office I still had to wait, in all I waited a bit over 1 and a half hours to get my car which is totally unacceptable. Also the car smelled badly of cigarrette smoke, which we all found very unpleasant.
