Staff was very nice, but they were not able to deliver a car on time. I had to rent from another agency at double the cost to make a meeting. I returned the more expensive car the following day with the understanding I would rent the auto at the quoted rate for the next four (4) Days. After I surrendered the rental from the more expensive car rental to claim my car reservation (WALKED ACROSS A 25´SERVICE ROAD) I was informed Dollar had elected to cancel my rental since they were not able to deliver the vehicle on time. The agent was willing to open a new rental contract at double the rate because they had few cars for rental. I was not notified of the increase in rate until I was due to sign the contract. At that point I was at the mercy of the previous rental car agency. I WALKED, I was able to get the former rental agency to allow me to rent the at the previous rate. I would strongly recommend anyone considering a rental from DOLLAR to get the final cost to include any additional insurance before taking time to fill out information for a contract. although this is DOLLAR RENTAL, I believe managers have discresion over such matters. I have an issue with their BUSINESS ethics. Dollar will not have my problems again. Maybe the May 6, Rating of EXCELLENT RATING CAME IN AFTER MY TONGUE LASHING.
