The second largest city in Sweden, Gothenburg, has stepped out of Stockholm’s shadow to carve a niche as one of Scandinavia’s most popular tourist destinations. On the city’s streets, decorative architecture mixes seamlessly with trendy cafes and restaurants where the local student population rubs shoulders with fashionistas and young professionals. Drawing over three million visitors every year, the theme park features a number of blockbuster rides, including AtmosFear, one of Europe’s tallest free-fall attractions.
