The car was great.

I rarely rent cars so this may be common knowledge, but when they say you dont need to return the car with a full tank of petrol, you should still do it. Hertz charged me themselves on a per litre basis to a full tank, then added an extra 20% fee on top. They should have advised me this on pick up!

The car drove nicely and got good gas mileage

The Hertz rental page I selected on line showed a picture of a small van to accommodate seven adults, but the actual car was a very small station wagon which was extremely cramped and with absolutely zero space for luggage. Extremely misleading.

Are used kayak for two rentals, and both ended up being with Avis. My first experience I was not very good… The rates were different, check-in was difficult, return resulted in charges that had nothing to do with the rental of the vehicle. The second rental went perfectly. The attendant who checked me in on a return was very professional and courteous, unlike the first experience. I guess It is a question of who you get on the staff, because my first experience was really unprofessional.

Not a good experience with the person who assigned me my car. Instead of just giving me whatI reserved, she kept on trying to upsell me. Once she realized I just wanted what I’d asked for, her demeanor changed and she became difficult…very “French”…using her language as a weapon against me. Not a good experience and likely will influence my choice of rental car companies, at least at Blagnac Airport, for the future.

Staff was friendly, car was relatively cheap for a Mercedes Class C.

I was scammed into paying in dollars instead of euros. Contract said I was informed and agreed but it's false, I never agreed to have the car billed in dollars at an appaling rate which was 0.81€ for $1 when the actual rate was 0.90€ for $1 at the time of purchase. I'm not impressed by these practices. Also the car was dirty.
