A quick overview of what to expect from Goldcar Malaga airport: 1. Collect keys at airport kiosk (your signature on the small card machine screen here will be incredibly dishonestly inserted onto a damage document accepting the damage to the car before you're allowed to view it - in our case claiming zero damage when this was far from true). For us this is absolutely unacceptable and the reason for the 1 star review. You will be up-sold additional insurance at this point for over 5x the price of buying from a separate company. Note if you don't take their insurance you'll need to pay the deposit of over 1000 EUR. 2. Go to car in carpark (you'll be told the bay number). 3. Review any existing damage to this car. Despite not being told to do this, at this point you should report any damage to Goldcar staff in the carpark or the small kiosk in the carpark. Make sure you take lots of photos at this point. 4. Use car as per the terms and conditions 5. Return car to Goldcar spaces and return keys. Again take photos to protect yourself. 6. If you have incurred damage (somone keyed our car) we eventually discovered you need to talk to the staff at the desk in the carpark kiosk who can confirm the cost of the damage (which we paid at this point) and provide a receipt if you have insurance from another company as we did. We wish the process had been much more clearly explained, experienced some (not all) rude staff members on returning the car, and witnesses a LOT of unnecessarily confused and frustrated customers upon returning the car. These issues should be easy to fix with clear communication and an honest approach to dealing with car damage.
