I reserved the vehicle, and they had the vehicle that I reserved when I arrived; that’s the most important part. It would have been slightly more efficient if it was clean when I got there, but it was only a few extra minutes. The one thing I didn’t like, is that the gas tank was only half full, and then I had to guess how much to put back in before I returned the vehicle - I put in more than I used - not very fair for me.

The original location had a system glitch that prevented any of the card readers recognizing my card (chip or mag strip) The representative tried many times then insisted my card was bad despite my calling the card co and being told it was fine. I dashed next door and came back with a receipt for a purchase, proving my card was working, but he said he couldn’t rent to me. I called Avis support and they got me a car at an alternate location. A price discrepancy later was quickly fixed by AVIS support.

Customer service at 3131 Danforth Ave in Toronto was top notch. Syed Ashraf was awesome. Lost my keys in kitchener, road side assistance customer service was good but they picked up car and didn't notify me, leaving me stranded at my hotel for almost 2 hrs. Will definitely rent from Syed again!

The car was dirty outside and in. The maintenance of the vehicle was questionable - the rearview mirror came off in my hand hen I was adjusting it. Avis staff was not welcoming or friendly.

Very nice comfortable vehicle

The explanation of how the rental works as well as the insurance paperwork was too quickly glossed over and attention was not paid to what I was asking. Also - please clean the inside of the windshield more carefully. It had residue a mnd was all cloudy.

Nothing. I was unable to retrieve the car.

I made a reservation Dollar pickup at 330 Front Street in Toronto. When I arrived at that location I was told my reservation was to be picked up at 1245 Danforth Ave. I showed them my reservation confirmation that indicated my reservation was for 330 Front st, but the CS rep at Front st told me there was nothing they could do and there was no car available for me. Danforth location was a half hour away and closed. I spoke with Dollar 800 number and it appeared to me their system is incorrect. The CS rep was trying to explain to me there are 2 “330 front street locations; one in Danforth and one 330 front st West (where I was). I had to explain there are not 2 “330 Front Streets” and the store rep had already told me the address for Dantforth was 1245 Danforth Ave. The phone rep realized this was the issue that somehow these 2 locations are linked as 1 in their system is the best I could tell what was happening. The only thing he could do at this point was offer me a pickup at the airport which was an impossibility for me. To summarize; I made a reservation for 330 Front st, showed up on time to pick it up, had 2 points of confirmation indicating my pick-up was at 330 front st and was told by dollar my reservation was for 1245 Danforth Ave in their system. I have no emails indicating anything about Danforth Ave as a pick-up location. Unable to secure a car from Dollar, I was very fortunate to find and book a last minute rental from another company. Overall an extremely frustrating experience as Dollar could not honor the reservation I made and could not provide me with an explanation as to what occurred to cause the error.

Location is convenient

They did not seem to be well organized, they had only one attendant and I had to wait a while because they had to go and fill up the gas tank of the person who was being helped before me because it only had a quarter tank of gas left. The car also had scratches and did not seem to be in the best working order. They also make you fill up you tank within a 5 km radius before returning the car.

When I arrived to pickup my rental, the car had been given away to somebody else and they had no vehicles left for me. I had booked a week in advance specifically because it was a holiday weekend so there is no excuse for this. I missed a family gathering because of this problem.

They could have kept a car available for me as per my rental agreement.

Before travel to Toronto, I call back to confirm. I was advised the car MIni van was not available at Toronto Air port but other location which was 35 miles from air port before 6pm. My flight landed at 9 pm. Therefore I had to hire 7 passenger car from Asis. We had very bad experience .

Dollar should have warn me about pick up time at car pickup location.
