The first car I received was dead. I’m not sure if they are actually inspecting the vehicles. The second car was better but the customer service is lacking at this location. Entire booth smelled like cigs.

Really frustrating. They would not honor the reservation made through kayak because it was made the same day and dropped off in another city (all of which was stated in the confirmed reservation). We had to find a rental with another company. They were completely unhelpful!

I booked with another rental car company. I arrived at 9 PM to find 16 other customers waiting for cars that they had reservations for. I immediately booked a car with Alamo, picked it up and was on my way in about 15 minutes. Thank you so much for saving the day.

Flight in was very late. Arrived at car rental counter about 10 minutes after posted closing time. Usually, especially at a big city airport, car rental places stay open late. At least this time, Memphis Alamo was closed. Technically, not their fault, but not mine, either. Even though I had reserved a rental car weeks in advance, I had to use a different company. I can only hope they won't charge me for a car not rented.

The pickup and drop off process are extremely easy. The vehicle I rented left some to be desired. It smelled funny and the dash and infotainment center were not clean. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Once I arrived home from picking up the rented vehicle, my wife and I started checking the car, cleaning, checking tire pressure. The back passenger tire had a screw in it and the tire pressure was low. My wife and I went to Discount Tire, had the tire repaired so our vacation should be with out tire issues. Had zero issues with the tires/vehicle while on vacation. Upon return, I mentioned the repair of the tire to fellow at enterprise and he helped me out with the rental price because of the tire. All in all, had a great experience.

Made a reservation for a car, got a confirmation. Then on the day I was supposed to pick it up, got a phone call from Enterprise that they didn't have any more cars. They offered to call me if any came in, but I cancelled the reservation. They should never have confirmed my reservation.

A van that was not broke, wasting 3+ hours figuring out how to resolve it myself, and an unsympathetic branch that offered a measly 10% off the rental after having safety issues in a van with 3 adults and 4 children.

They had no cars available even though I made my reservation over a month ago. They said anywhere from 2-8 hours and there were already 6 people ahead of me waiting. I canceled and went with enterprise.

This location was closed when we arrived because they ran out of cars, even though we had a reservation. We waited outside in the cold for 30 min before someone from Enterprise came over and told us. The people at Dollar didn't even leave a note. Unacceptable service.

First problem, they tooked confirmed reservations, but didnt have cars available to rent. I had to wait four and a half hours for a vehicle. Second problem., I had the car 3 days not 4, but not get s refund or apology for any of the problems I wii never use this service again.

The ladies at the desk were nice. However, I had to wait almost an hour for my car. I’m not quite for sure why I needed a paid reservation if my car isn’t going to be ready. I will definitely consider other rental companies if I have to wait that long.

I was NOT impressed with the type vehicle and pick up process at the airport in Memphis, TN. I arrived at Dollar car rental at 5:30 pm on OCT 6, 2021, and found the pick up area closed with a sign posted to "pick up the to rental car at Hertz!" I stood in line at Hertz for nearly an hour waiting to pick up the rental car. Due to the volume of business at Hertz, there was nobody available to answer my questions about the functionality of the rental vehicle. The headlight visibility on the rental car (Ford Focus) was poor. Also, with Memphis, TN, being an extremely high crime area, I was very uncomfortable with driving a rental vehicle there for 3 weeks with Nevada license plates.

I have been trying to rent a car with Avis for over a month. They wait until I get a ride two hours away and then call me at the last minute, or not at all, and tell me that they do not have any available cars. This has happened to me 11 times now. Due to this, I received a coupon from Customer Service for 4 Days Free Rental and the Store Manager at the Collierville location lied to me about having cars, and the total that she was running my card for. Then told me she could not rent to me because my credit card declined, even though I called my Credit Card company and cleared up the issue. She said that it was company policy that they were not allowed to run a card twice; which is a lie. They ran another customer's card 5 times while I was standing there. She also called another location, trying to pass me off to them, and told the manager there that she could not run my card again because it would mess up my coupon, not because it was company policy that they could not run the card twice. She knew this was a lie. All of this was heard by my credit card company on a recorded line.

The in person service was great, but the phone service trying to get the car was awful. Ended up having to spend an additional day in town because of it. The place I was the originally pick up the car was CLOSED. Always closed on Sundays! When I called I was sent to a second location, and they were out of cars! Said that all the places in the area (at 11am) were out of cars. Even though I had reserved one. Finally got a car the next day from a very nice woman at the original location I was supposed to pick up from. Car was fine, but very dirty and trashed on the inside. Wouldn’t book again.

When we arrived at the Memphis Airport at 0900 with a reservation, we expected to get a vehicle fairly quick. However we ended up waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The lady working appeared to be disinterested with anyones concerns and refused to offer any help. In the meantime I walked to the second floor and saw several vehicles available that were being held for Avis Preferred and were still in the lot when we finally received our car almost two hours later.

We arrived at 7:00 to pick up a car we reserved at Memphis airport. When we arrived we were told (unapologetically) that there were no cars available, that there was a waitlist 20 families long and that we would get a car as each car came in and they worked down the waitlist. They were flippant about the fact that there were no cars available and when I asked why, her comment was, “they overbook”. We waited about 1.5 hours for a car. We ran into a family that got there around 7:45 and they had the unfortunate luck to not get a car till midnight. Apparently, people that came in after them were turned away at night, carless. Shame on Avis for overbooking!

It took a hour and a 10 min to do the check out and pick up the car. They had 1 person working the counter and over 20 people in line. Changed the rate on me approx 20 higher at the counter. After check out went to get the car and had to wait 20 min for them to clean it. Then went to leave and no none was at the check out area and had to wait another 10 min. The process of picking up the car was longer than my flight from Virginia to Tenesee. Terrible experience with budget. Staff was friendly but grossly under staffed.

Website allowed out of towners, who were stranded due to personal car issues to book a same day reservation for in town pick up with out of town drop off and once at the pick up location was told can’t do same day one ways. If it’s policy the website should know that to! Never using this company again, but I’m sure they don’t care considering they’re already rich. Disrespectfully a customer you’ll never get rich off. This caused use a lot of stress and inconvenience!!! Never referring this rental company to anyone.

Staff was friendly, car was clean, everything worked.

1. No car was available when we arrived, in spite of my efforts earlier to ensure there would be. We were lucky that a car appeared within 20 mins. 2. The air pressure warning was on the entire 8 days. I added air to all tires but the warning persisted. 3. Too much time spent waiting for receipt to be printed upon our return. Avis doesn’t seem to try harder anymore.

Nothing. They are horrible.

When I arrived to pickup the car at 1pm on a Thursday there was no one at the counter and there had not been an attendant for some time. The rep from Avis at the next counter gave me the same deal since no one was working at Payless. Also, when I called to inquire about a baby car seat the automated phone system required that I provide an "Access Code", whatever that is, to complete the call and I was not able to get anyone on the phone to assist. I will never use this junk company again.
