The customer service was horrible. First and last time doing business with Avis.

We had a booked reservation. When we arrived and the Avis rental counter to pick up our vehicle we were told to sign a log in sheet and that it would be 2+ hours. They didn't have any rental cars available even though we had a reserved vehicle. Had to cancel and Uber. Counter employees were not helpful.

It was very difficult to find the Budget location. It would be so simple to add the directions to the confirmation and pickup information. The help center was no help and calling the actual pickup sight didn't work because they didn't answer up the phone and so the "help center" answered each time. That was incredibly frustrating and added an hour to my van rental pickup.

The customer service people were very nice and helpful, but I wasn't able to get the vehicle that I needed and one of the vehicles given to me needed an oil change so I had to go back inside and get a different vehicle.

Toyota Corolla handled very well and enjoyed driving it. Calls made to pick-up were very good, but maybe I did not hear agent tell me that my car would be in a slot with an Avis sign - looked all over for it! Drop-off problem was with an off-terminal location - not advised in advance of this deviation. When discovered after searching at the airport, I did not see any further signs for directions. In Chrystal City, no signs - I had 2600 Richmond Highway but that was not clear from the road -- took a loooong time (and gas) to get car returned once getting to DCA. Not happy!! Other than this one real problem, I was pleased with the Budget car process.

good on gas. sticker on windshield blocked some of the driver's view, empty cans in backseat, they demanded proof of my own personal car insurance or buy insurance from them and also demanded to see proof of my flight out BEFORE i could take the car. Nothing about this was on their website. upon return, we called as per instructions but no one picked up for 45 minutes. finally called corporate office and they told me to wait until the shuttle swings by, which it did. I called the rental office once more and FINALLY someone picked up but shuttle took 30 minutes for a 10 minute ride to the airport. At the drop off site, 12 other people were waiting for a ride to their flights. Five of them were in danger of missing their flights and took an uber. Badly run business, intrusive rental criteria, sloppy maintenance to the point of being dangerous (windshield obstruction). We can't recommend using this car rental company to anyone else for any reason, as their service is sub-par across the board.

Willie helped me so much! I booked a car for the wrong day. Totally my fault but he was able to accommodate me anyway. So grateful! They are my new go to when visiting Charlotte.
