The guys agreed to stay later as my flight went past their opening times. They were really friendly and made the collection and drop off hassle free.

BE CAREFUL! Fortunately Paisley (Glasgow airport, Scotland) accepted my Diners Club credit card had collision and theft coverage, so I could decline paying for Europecar’s coverage. Despite my having paperwork saying my North American auto insurance had up to 60 days global rental coverage (I had a coverage rider noting this, in my name, printed out and with me), this location said they would not have taken that. And Europcar on the week prior Dublin rental refused even the credit card coverage and forced us to purchase the extra Europcar insurance, despite my having Pre-Paid that rental on their website!! So be very careful, and it’s not the rental staff’s fault. Europcar buries the fact (that they are stringent on allowing people to decline paying for coverage. It is 2 clicks in and a big scroll down to see how stringent and that you need proof in writing in you name for them to accept you have suitable 3rd party coverage.

Be aware that at this europcar (Glasgow) they will cancel your reservation if you are not there to get the car BEFORE your time. Then they will try to upsell you because “unfortunately we don’t have the car you reserved anymore since you were late.” It happened to every person in line when we were there. We had a reservation for a suv for $560 and they would only rent us a $1500 “upgraded” suv. It’s all an upsell scam. Luckily we walked across to AVIS and they were great to work with. We were able to get an suv on the spot with the insurance for $750. My advice is to avoid Europcar Glasgow at all cost. I can’t speak for any other Europcar locations.

Picked up car in dark and rain. Sixt representative didn't supply ordered car. Car that was supplied had hole in bumper. All alloys scratched, misaligned bonnet - it had been in a crash- and scratches all over it. None of this was mentioned by sixt but was emailed out to me afterwards. Phoned sixt who said it was driveable but they'd swap car but wouldn't confirm what replacement would be. I'd also have to drive to them to sort this out. None of this was possible given the schedule I was on. Shoddy service. Poor and potentially unsafe car.

I wasn't given a car as Sixt wouldn't accept my temporary license. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful - he checked all the other agencies and took me to one that accepted my license - I had to pay £200 more than the rental I'd booked with you. I did appreciate that my original rental was refunded immediately.
