The rental application process with Kayak was easy and clear.

They didn’t Have a car in the class I had rented. It was smaller a significantly more uncomfortable and unsafe.

They didn't have the van i reserved when i went to pick up. So 7 people with 3 suitcases had to squeeze in to a Arcadia. 2 suitcases had to go on laps. The wait time for pickup was ridiculously long. The lady who checked me in told me I didn't have to get gas when returning, that they'd charge me the same rate the gas was at the gas pump. When i returned it, they estimated my gas usage and charged me 9.90 a gallon!

I didn’t rent a car in Melbourne, I rented a car in Port Canaveral only to find out they had no vehicles upon my arrival, and said I had to pick up my car in Melbourne. 45 minutes away….. without a car??

Surprised at end of pick-up process by he question, "Are traveling out of state?" This was the first indication that the rental was "Florida only," which did not meet my expected requirements.

The check-in was smooth and quick. Had no hassles about supplemental insurance. Be sure to use your credit card for the rental. Mine has secondary car rental insurance. Mostly pleased with the Nissan Altima. Had two small dents that were noted but there were other scratches and one dent that was not highlighted. We took pictures of the scratches and the dent. Drop-off was quick and easy.

No obvious complaints. Price was more than I wanted to pay but competitive with other rental companies. Had a few extra expenses that blindsided me but cannot do anything about that. Final price was higher than expected by about fifty dollars.

The staff was friendly and worked with what they had, as it was not their fault personally.

No one answers the phone - I tried calling multiple times for it to go to a voicemail. When I arrived initially to pick up my rental car I was informed there was only one vehicle available and it was a massive SUV (I called the day before the rental to confirm a smaller vehicle would be available and was told yes and I was all good to go). The woman then informed me there was multiple additional charges being added to the rental agreement. I also had an issue with the vehicle during my rental period and could not get a hold of anyone at the rental company, so I went to the location and saw the employees are just sitting there IGNORING the phone ringing on purpose.

April was great and able to answer my questions about possible extending my rental. She even gave me her direct line if I needed to call.

The airport (MLB, Melbourne, Florida) doesn't have the best layout regarding where the rental cars are. Not Dollars fault though!

Took only a few minutes to check out and get the car on Christmas Day.

Auto maintenance. Car had a loud squeak when going over bumps and a loud rumbling at high speeds. it drove well, but needed maintenance.

The car we reserved wasn't available apparently we wasn't the only people that day who had same issue. Was offered an alternative which they claimed was 4x the cost of what we paid so was an "upgrade" ended up having to drive to another airport with it to swap it out as didn't drive well and got an alternative again still not what we originally booked for.

Avis did not have the reserved and confirmed 15-passenger van we reserved to transport guests from wedding ceremony to wedding reception that we had reserved one-month in advance and confirmed the reservation 1 week ahead of the wedding. When we went to pick it up at the designated time (the morning of the wedding) they said they didn't have it (sorry). PLEASE DO NOT USE AVIS IF IT IS FOR ANYTHING IMPORTANT LIKE A WEDDING.

Easy to pick up and drop off with polite personnel.

No warnings about the frequent unexpected and unannounced tolls we would encounter. No cruise control. Cheaply made car interior, but for the price it was fine.
