Location for pick-up was very easy to find. Car was super. Value was unbelievable!

I wish I had a smaller car for the rental. It's hard getting around France in a mid-size sedan!
The booking starts at 12:00 but the lunch break of the agency is from 12:00-14:00, everybody left for the two hour lunch break and I couldn't collect the car
The price was reasonable and there was no line for the pickup.
The condition of the car was very poor and it appeared that every scratch was documented, forcing me to spend about 20 minutes surveying the car finding all the dents, scratches, stains. Unsatisfactory with over 34k kms
Everything was fine with the car but now I am getting charged every month 30€ without any notice and without explanations. It is in process of sueing as they won't remove my bank details.
Warning, don't book with them. Charging after every momth wotgout notice or explanation!
It was a smooth transaction and everything went well.
The only problem was that I paid for insurance on line during the reservation and when I went to pick up the car they had no record of it. I had to buy insurance again, which was higher daily rate than the car itself!
This is at a gas station so, they are busy with other customers most of the time.
This location looked very sketchy in a bad area of Paris! We walked inside and it was essentially a gas station with a Hertz sticker in the window! The gas station attendant didn’t speak any English and was very rude to us. He was dismissive and completely unhelpful when we gave him our booking confirmation paperwork he replied in a low muttered tone in French that there was no reservation for us and that his colleague would be back at 9 (thankfully there was a gas station customer there for us who could translate). He didn’t want to help us at all and just kept telling us we had to wait until 9 (one hour later). We got there when the location opened at 8am. Now, this was a business trip for me and we had an important meeting to get to and I can’t tell you the stress it caused not having help OR THE CAR! We had the confirmation, why wasn’t the car there? Or, why couldn’t we rent literally any other car?! We realized there was no Hertz representative on site and who knows how long it might have been had we waited. I honestly didn’t want my personal information or credit card being swiped there at this point. Thankfully there was an Avis location 8 minutes walk down the road that got us into a vehicle quickly! THANK YOU AVIS! I will never use kayak to book a rental car again, or Hertz for that matter! TERRIBLE. Shut this location down!!!!
