I rented a car from Sixt one-way from Venice to Milan, for 5 days total. Everything went well and I had no problems with pickup in Venice, dropoff in Milan, or with the vehicle. In addition, current prices were lower on the day of pickup than when I made the reservation, and they gave me the lower price. As a result, I would not hesitate to use Sixt again in Europe (or the U.S.).

We booked a car to be returned to Piazzale Roma in Venice Italy. With printed confirmation from them. However, nobody informed us that there is actually NO SIXT office at all at that location!! It was a Saturday, nobody picked up the phone when we called multiple times trying to figure out where to go. We were given an exact address that did not exist! After 3 hours of going back and forth in the area in torching heat and with 2 young children, one police officer on the road suggested we return the car at the airport. We did. The airport is far from there. We had to take the cab back to Piazzale Roma. We tried to complain at the airport counter, but nobody cared" I am just working here, I am not in charge". I said, please give me a receipt that I actually returned the car. They did not want to; they said it will come in my e-mail in a few days !!??!! It did come in the mail a few days later, but really, I had no proof that that I actually returned the car ok and in time!
