Cheap Car Rentals in Columbia Metropolitan Airport

The customer service at pick up time. It was like I was bothering them and they had something else to do. Not very helpful.

Communication was great. Only had very large pick up trucks left. Would have liked a smaller car but overall experience was very good.

Avoid this Hertz. Countless reviews of poor service, vehicles unavailable, and I experienced it for myself. I booked a 7 passenger vehicle for 24 hours through your website in the morning around 8 am for a noon pickup. When I arrived, the attendant said there were no such vehicles available. That's fine, I understand if you don't have one. HOWEVER, why not call me once you saw the reservation come in and let me know you would not be able to supply a vehicle to meet my request??? It would have saved everyone so much time. On top of that, the attendant said they did have a 7 passenger SUV available but it was luxury class so it would cost an additional $150. If it were my business, I would have comped the "additional charge" and let the customer take the "luxury" SUV but that just makes too much sense. Poor experience all around, I will not use Kayak for renting cars like this in the future.

I was stranded in Columbia, SC after my flight was unexpectedly diverted from Atlanta. The only option for a one way rental was Hertz at the airport. The economy car they gave me so I could drive back home to FL cost me nearly $500 for one day! Worst of all, the AC didn’t work properly. I was forced to drive 9 hours with the AC not working properly in near record heat!

Price could have been better.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Awesome experience. Convenient location. I lost my sunglasses in the car and they helped me retrieve them. What a relief!!

Pick-up at West Columbia airport was excellent! Drop-off in Knoxville/Alcoa was poor. Charged for 2 days even though I only has the car for about 20 HOURS. Refund given for 2d day BUT not for unknown extra charges on days 1 or 2; about $10.00 overcharged after the refund. Contacted Enterprise but rep was unable to do the simple math for the full refund ("our system won't allow me to correct the amount).

Car at terminal, and the speed getting us on the road could not have been better:-) Staff - both counter and maintenance/car cleaner, were very friendly and professional. Very happy with the service we received. Thank you, Enterprise Columbia SC

They wouldn’t let me use my debit card so I couldn’t get a car and paid 50.00 for a cab there
