unfortunately , they never contacted me to tell me they did not have cars available for me until I get to the rent a car place and told me they could not call me because they did not have my phone number, NOT TRUE.

I reserved a small economy vehicle, which wasn’t available at time of pick up, so I was given a minivan, which isn’t much of an upgrade at all. Nonetheless, I was not charged more. The minivan was not the cleanest inside. It had less than a quarter of gas at time of pickup. Thankfully, I was not required to return with a full tank. Rental seemed expensive for a rather inefficient and ugly vehicle for my short trip.

I showed up 5 min early and they didn't have a vehicle for me and wouldn't have one until 5 hours after my scheduled pickup. The only thing they said I could do was cancel and when I said that's what would have to happen I was still charged and am now having to wait for a refund. This lack of accountability and responsibility on their part caused me to miss an entire trip, and financial stress. Actual worst car rental experience, I would rather use Turo even if they are more expensive.
My experience was terrible. Despite making a reservation with Hertz in March, they didn't have the car I reserved and made no attempt to find me an alternative. They cancelled my reservation and did not give me a refund. I will not be renting with Hertz again.

We made our reservation 1 hour before we went to pick it up, and Hertz still didn’t have the vehicle class they sold us. The clerk told us we could pay the additional cost for the vehicle she had or we could wait to see if anyone returned one we wanted. She wouldn’t budge on the extra charge and told us it was corporate policy.

Can you please they gave me an SUV in the middle of a winter storm warning with frozen washer fluid lines, not to mention once the lines unfroze after 4 hours of driving, I had to fill the washer fluid. That is crazy, not to mention VERY DANGEROUS!!!

Like: Easy website experience (via Costco). Kudos to the friendly staff at Avia (Kent location). Nice vehicles. Easy pickup and convenient drop box for after hours returns. Can be Better: Make it easier to find the nearby off airport options. The rental rates varied significantly between on-airport and nearby off-airport locations. Had to shop around to find the off airport rate.
Office was closed when we returned car. We were never informed that office closed at noon. Had to leave car and put key in door without a proper check-in!
The downtown location at Avis was great. When I did not realized that I booked it for downtown, I went to the airport location. The staff person there was not that helpful and seemed irritated that came to the wrong place by accident
