I was told the car was in space 16 in the rental car lot. After 30 minutes of looking, and with the help of another Avis employee, I was told to look in the general car parking lot. Finally, I found it. Not happy!

The rental vehicle had nearly bald front tires. (Gray Kia Soul with Utah plates: U198PN.) If I had noticed at the rental lot (Sonoma County Airport) I would have insisted on a different vehicle. It was irresponsible for the company to rent a vehicle with tires in that condition. The rear tires were fine so probably the tires had not been rotated front-to-rear on a correct schedule, and no one had bothered to check the tires despite the vehicle having 35k miles on it.

I had two reservations with Budget - one immediately following the other because of a change of plans. In order for me to "modify" and consolidate the reservations into one, Budget said I would have to pay approximately $300 more. The modification would have saved not only me time and convenience, it would have done the same for Budget employees. This is for using the car for the same number of days (5). I left my phone number and e-mail with the Budget agent and asked that a supervisor review this. I never heard anything.

I requested a mid-size car and got a Prius at the same cost. Never drove on before. Pretty cool. I averaged 54mpg, which is way cool.

We asked for an economy Nissan and we were "upgraded" to a ford fusion that was covered in stains old and junky. It was road worthy, and got us where we needed to go but it was not a pleasant car to drive. the person at the counter was great, just an crappy car, we will stick with Hertz next time.

The guy at the pickup counter was so helpful and efficient! The pick up and drop off were simple and quick. We just dropped the key into the return box at the counter:) The car was great…. No problems at all!

This was the worst experience with a car rental. The first Nissan Sentra had dents, faded paint, scratches, bad odor, cracked front windshield, and much more. I asked for a different car and they gave me a black Nissan Sentra. This looked half a star better. It was like driving a vehicle from 1996. When I returned the car, the person at ACE said they were surprised and thankful the car made it back. I will make sure I spread my experience with others.

Hello, I have been trying to reach someone in regards to my car rental. When I arrived at the airport there was no one at the Hertz car rental desk. When I asked another employee, I was told they already left for the day. I then had to scramble to rent another vehicle. I'm very disappointed, I was told all car renal companies are to stay open until the last flight lands which was clearly not the case. I would therefore like to request a refund.

I was not told when I rented through Kayak I would have to take a taxi to get the car. What little I saved from renting through kayak was totally lost as I had to spend money to take a taxi to get the car and to return it. This was totally a bust and I will never rent through kayak again. I intend to write a yelp review and let everyone know how I was deceived.

I made a reservation. I called to ask a question and the woman who answered the phone said oh we don't have any cars today. Corporate is completely over booking us. it's a good thing I called or I would have shown up there to rent a car and been told they have no more cars.

Extremely nice, attentive, and helpful staff member at the Sonoma County Airport terminal/ Hertz counter. He was even able to make a change that the phone-rep couldn't. When trying to make changes on the phone earlier, the rep was very kind and tried to help as much as she could.

The car had some minor damage, which wasn't inspected or logged by anyone as we picked up the car. This was never a problem, but we felt the need to take photos to be sure.

Not letting the customer know that there is not a gas station near the airport. So I was charged $50 for a half tank of gas.

The car was fuel efficient and compact which helped a TON in the greater Bay Area for travels.

The older model rented to me (based on the pricepoint but not entirely clear from the internet description) is an automatic that drives like a manual shift. Very specific feature of the Smart Car and was a little annoying when trying to pull a hill-side along the 101. Also, with high winds on the Richmond Bridge, the car felt VERY UNSAFE. The wind gusts were about 40-50mph and the car was swaying and wobbling in the lane. Yes, I knew to drive at a reduced speed but the bridge is 9miles long and it was a scary wind shaking 9mile drive. Something I didn't factor in.

The pickup and drop-off went very smoothly. The company was easy to work with and the car was very clean. This was my first time driving a smart car. It is more roomy and comfortable than I would have guessed. It doesn't have a lot of power, but it makes up for that in gas mileage. There were no issues with the car itself - it was in great shape. No complaints at all. I would definitely rent with Sixt again.
