This was easily the worst car rental experience of my life. Our flight was delayed and before we left I had called Dollar to make sure the rental center would be open. I was told by the agent that they were open 24 hrs. We arrived at West Palm Beach airport just after 1am and when we got to the counter there was a sign that said "temporarily closed" and to take the shuttle to the pick up location. No shuttle came so we took a taxi. We got there and was told by security that they were closed and to come back in the morning. So we had to take a 40 minute, hundred dollar plus Uber to our place and then had to come back the next day. I called and spoke to an agent to make sure my car was ready and she told me that they hold the reservation for 48 hours. So I had to come back 40 minutes to airport to pick up. When I got to the counter, I was told no car was avaiable and it would be two hours. I asked how this was possible when I was supposed to have a car the day before and it was prepaid. Anyways, it was well over three hours before I got my car. There were numerous other customers in the same predicament. I was quite upset at losing a half day of vacation and two expensive trips back and forth. The people working at the counters couldn't have cared less. Overall, just a poor experience.
