Cheap Car Hire in Heritage Hill, Grand Rapids from AED 122

The pick up and especially drop off were quick and hassle-free. It could not be much better unless it was my own car waiting in my garage.

Last-minute rental gave us a free vehicle upgrade to a beautiful Chevy Malibu--very comfortable and great highway mileage for an unexpected 600-mile drive. Final bill was a bit less than the original expected cost and drop-off/check-out was efficient and hassle-free. Attendant even spotted my credit card in the cup holder and came running to give it to me! Overall, an excellent rental experience!

We had a very good experience getting our car from Dollar in Grand Rapids.

Back interior window was dirty, but nothing else was wrong. Very smooth experience.

Smooth process and the car was nice.

I was over charged and quoted incorrectly and no one has contacted me or tried to help with the extra charges. I will never extend a rental and will go with another agency. The customer service has no manager or supervisors available to speak to. I was spoken to in a manner that seemed like I was lying. This is very upsetting and hope you make sure you get a printed confirmation of your rental agreement if you do extend your rental.

I was "bait & switched". I got what I thought was a great deal on renting a Tesla only to find out I was forced to take a cab ($42) to a satellite Hertz location. I was then told I could not drop the car back off at the airport and would have to spend another $42 to take another cab back to the airport. Extremely deceptive advertising that Kayak should have explained. I will unlikely utilize Kayak for my next rental needs.

The Avis people were all courteous and helpful. The type of car we reserved was unavailable so they gave us a choice of three for which upgraded vehicle we wanted. Thec return was also smooth and quick.

The car was very clean, but I had a couple issues with it: 1. The headlights seemed to be really poorly aligned. I could barely see anything at night unless I turned the high beams on, and that's pretty annoying/potentially dangerous. 2. I was driving on a wet highway in the winter. The road had a lot of salt on it, and it was constantly being kicked up onto the windshield. The wiper fluid that Avis uses must be really cheap, because it froze up in the lines and wouldn't spray onto the windshield. I had to constantly pull off to wipe the windshield manually so that I could safely see while driving. Dangerous! Also, I was in a position to return the car early, but I wanted to know if it would cost more to do so (due to having had a discount for renting over a longer period initially). I called Avis for info about this twice, and both times I got turned away. They said that they could only show me the price *after* accepting the car back. These people do this every day; surely they should have an idea of whether or not it'd be more expensive. In the end, while the car was clean and relatively cheap, my overall experience with my rental wasn't a good one. Based on this experience, I'd be hesitant to return to this Avis/Budget location.

Promised aCX5 Mazda or better and got a Ford mini crossover. It was beat up on the exterior and was an uncomfortable ride. Very disappointed.
