Made a reservation for a car to transport my 80 year old mother who, while undergoing cancer treatments, fell and broke her femur. She had recovered and we needed a large sedan so she could easily get in and out. Called day before and confirmed with agent that we were all set with a sedan. Showed up for pick up and they said the only vehicle left was a large SUV that my Mom couldn’t possibly get up into. Asked the agent what she recommended I do and she provide no assistance. No offer to call around and check inventory at other locations. Nothing. Just a poor attitude. No empathy at all for my situation. Conclusion: rent with Hertz and that’s all you’ll get…a whole lot of HURTS!!!
