Cheap Car Rentals in Southeast - Harbor, Lihue

A/C quit working and the car lost power going up hills, had to exchange the car. After we got the second car all was good. We had no issues getting the exchange accomplished other than the inconvenience.

Pick up and Return was flawless. Excellent newer SUV.

Car was great, service staff great, drop-off great. Unfortunately long queue to pick up car, which took quite some time. It is quite clear what time the planes arrive, and how many vehicles are booked, so this shouldn't occur. We had also prepaid the car, so only needed to show licence and sign off, but had to wait in queue, with others who either hadn't paid yet, or hadn't even booked.

The whole process took 3 hours, made worse by the fact that even after the paperwork was completed, there was an additional hour wait to clean the car.

Extremely Slow in rental desk area

Took two hours from when I walked in the door to pickup vehicle till I drove out of driveway. Worst pickup ever, and I have rented a lot of cars in my time.

Took forever to get car. Had flat tire on top of Waimea canyon. Tire was bald and no owners manual to help figure out where spare tire was. Waited 2 hrs and still no tow truck. Finally found someone with same vehicle and looked at owners manual regarding spare tire. We would appreciate a partial reimbursement for our terrible day!!

Easy process when actually picking up our car and when returning. Great people at the rental, so friendly and helpful.

I really liked not waiting in line for ever before getting served! I appreciated the fast service when the car key stopped working. I would have liked to have a direct number of the Sixt Kauai location where we rented the car to talk about the fact that a wallet with canadian money was left in the car when they exchanged our car because the key did no work. I sent the rental store an email and they never got back to me and when I went to the Sixt Kauai location the person from the lost and found location said they did not find anything.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Wallace was great with pick-up. I don't know the employees name at drop-off but she was outstanding. Everyone was quick to help us both at pick-up and drop-off. I recently used Sixt in Florida and was not impressed with the staff. I almost didn't use Sixt again because of that experience. But my experience in Hawaii with Sixt will keep me coming back.

The van was comfortable for a family of 5. Checkin and drop off were relatively smooth. Unfortunately the vehicle was not completely clean when we picked it up. Despite their promise to clean out all the pockets and cup holders, there was a whole stash of trash in the one compartment. Otherwise a decent experience.

Our rental had a low pressure warning after the first 5 days. No documentation in car on how to clear it after adding air and finding pressures were good. Returned to Enterprise and they gave us a replacement in roughly 5 minutes, let us pick our replacement, no charge for 3/4 tank of fuel.

This was perhaps the dirtyest car I've ever rented. We bought two glass cleaners and still could not get the windshield clean. The rest of the car inside was also not clean. The cost of the rental was ridiculous, more than double the cost for the same period from same time two years ago. Pick-up was great and attendant very helpful. Drop off was very confusing but attendant also was very helpful.

Communication was great. They reached out to me and let me know they were waiting. Picked us up, took us to car and we were off. Same with drop off. Could not be more pleased.

Overall great experience, however the windshield wipers we a bit warn causing some visibility issues when driving in the rain.
