We had the best experience with our Hertz rental car. I was so sad to turn it in. Customer service was good and Meshlan took excellent care of us.
Customer service was atrocious - initially did not have any cars and wanted to ultimately charge us more for the car that was available, wanted to charge us to change our drop off location although our original location was closed. Our first car was defective and required an exchange.

My first time renting a car...EVER :) I got there right at noon. The car was ready to go. Costumer service was great- very friendly, and professional. The car was a Nissan Versa- although it's a small car, it was pretty roomy inside. Very clean. I will definitely be renting through Kayak again.
It's not a big deal, but the car had less then a 1/4 tank of gas. Not sure if that's common. Again, first time renting a car.
Didnt have the car class or type I reserved. Forced me into an old, loud, dirty 2 doors clunker. Staff was rude and obnoxious. Didnt want to rent me other available cars, being an Avis president club member is useless, unlike at Hertz.
I wasn't able to get this car at all! Kayak booked it and yet Avis called me the night before we were due to leave to tell us they don't allow "one way rentals". (Where you get the car in 1 location and return it in another). Thank goodness they called, but when I went to rebook another car at that late notice, it was going to cost $1,200! We wound up driving instead which was a huge hassle and changed our entire trip... negatively. Kayak needs to fix this!

I sure was one of the staff members that the gas is right below ER returned it and had to put more money in gas what you're not right. One of the employees had a bad attitude with me

The car itself
I booked online on the website. When arrived at rental center the cat was unavailable and no free alternative was proposed to me. Would have appreciated a phone call. I did actually call but of course no one picked up!!! Overall I paid more than twice the online quote. Furthermore they did not accept my international visa card which includes insurance. Very poor service. Service extremely slow and printer was broken.
