Cheap Car Rentals in Sunrise Park, Palm Springs

Beware of the off-hours drop box for keys! I had a 6am flight from PSP so I had to drop off the car before the Alamo desk opened. Boarded my flight. And my connection. When I got to my destination 5 hrs later, I was informed at the next airport that they couldn’t rent to me… because I had an open contract at PSP! Literally spent 1 hr 45 min at the counter trying to get someone at PSP to answer the phone. No idea why they couldn’t close out a contract within 5 hours of opening. Terrible service. Don’t trust the drop box process.

Iwould have liked to have the model size i choose but instead of compact i got a full size.

Waited in line for over an hour. 20 ppl in front of me and probably 75 behind me. Gave up and booked Avis for the same money and the next counter over. Walked away with my keys while my spot in line was still 10 ppl from the front. Tried to cancel the reservation twice phone rang out the first time and was hung up on the second time. Last time I ever book budget

Long long lines to get the car in Palm Springs. Never experienced anything like this. Car itself was great.

Friendly agent with no major lineup. Car rental rates were high but a new Nissan kick provided.

I asked to cancel 2 minutes after booking and fought with Kayak and Hertz about that, to no avail. The non-refundable car reservation is new to me, and should be made more obvious. I will not be using Kayak again. This inflexibility was not appreciated.

Line up at the counter was long, but three attendants processed people quickly. Drop off was easy and done efficiently. I was told I would be emailed my receipt.

Poor service, 25 people on line to get their car and only 2 working, waited over and hour for the car

Car had no GPS, was higher mileage and somewhat tired. Rode well, good on fuel. Size worked out well.

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.

Rented a “Murano of similar” and received a brand new Edge. Great car, clean, service at Palm Springs airport great both entering and exiting.

Still havent gotten my deposit back or any notification emailed to me that they received my rental back over a month ago!

Really, really minor, but the button on the dashboard to open the rear door doesn’t work unless the door unlock switch is pressed first, and it took a while to figure that out (this was a CX-9)

The car gave me problems and I was unable to reach anyone for help. One of the tires had a flat and I had to keep filling it with air. I called AAA but there was no spare and the gel to fill a flat was missing, so they couldn’t do anything. The number for Avis in Santa Barbara said it was out of service and when I called the national number, no one answered.
