There was a mix up about where to pick up the rental, but once I got to the correct location, the staff was very friendly & helpful. The car was dirty and scratched up, but it got us to where we needed to be and it was the perfect size for 4 travelers.

I called 2 weeks in advance to ask for hand controls to be put into the car since I am disabled. The lady who "helped" me sounded like she was at home eating dinner and was bothered to have to take a work call, and hung up abruptly once she had put in my request. I was a little put off, but I got a confirmation email about my request. Upon arriving in a city across the country from where I live, as a severely disabled person, the Hertz station had no car with hand controls, and said that Hertz corporate had not communicated to them, and that "this happens all the time". Incredibly unprofessional and putting me in a terrible situation. Worst of all, nobody from Hertz contacted me to give me the heads up that there were no cars with hand controls, so I had no time to make alternate arrangements. I should sue these dirt bags. Will never give this company any business ever again, and if you are disabled I strongly discourage you from using this rental company.

I showed up at Denver international. The car was in downtown Denver 30 miles away. Hertz said 3 party always does this to save money. I ended up paying an additional 40 dollars a day for the car. Not my best experience. Kyle

The car smelled very smoky for all four days I had it. After I returned it (on a holiday) I was charged $50 and told it hadn’t been returned for two days. It took multiple phone calls with a long wait time to resolve. It was very difficult to get to a person to answer my questions on the phone.

Our reservation had a time (12:00), but did not specify that was strictly the only time to receive the car. I assumed we had until closing time. We were not contacted and our car was given away. I realize this was my fault, but I am suggesting the confirmation email indicates that the timing specifies the hour is a strict appointment time, which I was unaware of.
