Did not have a car for me. They couldn't honor my reservation.
Horrible checkin experience. Extremely rude staff -- so unwelcoming and unkind. The car itself was fine, but the staff's attitude was terrible.
Very kind people when I get the car only they gave me Short news about toll payment and it would be better explain something more, much more. In the sixth day I had to change car oli as it was requested by the car computer, so I lost half day, when I gave back the car I asked honestly pay and they told me write to contact centre. I wasn't happy about. Anyway I love Hertz rental, one of the best, it's twentieth time i rent with them, I'm sure they will improve

Was able to pick up right in Manhattan. Upgraded to a 4 wheel drive when say conditions were bad. Was able to do a one way trip as needed all the way to Memphis. Other rental companies would not allow this. Good price and very friendly service.
The staff at the Thrifty W 83 St New York is efficient and friendly. The car was fine. However, when we tried to add a day to our rental, it was impossible. At the various numbers we called , they told us that the only way to add a day to our rental was to go in person to Thrifty Corporate office, a preposterous offer. We gave up and did not add a day. When I told the staff at Thrifty W 83 St about this, while returning the car, they said they had never heard of such a policy.

Office closed at 3:00 pm on Friday. I assumed it was open until 5:00 pm I should have been contacted to let me know. The staff was exceptionally pleasant courteous and helpful. Great staff.
Avis staff are great. My car was ready within minutes even after having a upgrade model. Drop off was a smooth process. Ask for a paper receipt, I didn’t get any email with it.

When I picked up the car I had a meeting I had to go to ....they told me the car only had 1/8 of tank of gas! I had to spend 30 minutes looking for gas station. I asked for another car and they wouldn't give me an upgrade even though I am a Avis business customer and platinum AMX - Worst of all- the car smelled like smoke!!!!!
The car was obviously not cleaned. There was food all over the back seat. Garbage in the passenger side door, and foot prints all over the dash and the windshield which was just gross. I asked for some money back, but did not receive it.
