Cheap Car Rentals in West End, New Orleans

I had a reservation for 361$ … when I got there they told me almost 800$ argued my way to 450$.

Location was easy to access

Shawn was incredibly friendly. When we asked if we could change our online reservation to a bigger car, she took care of it quickly. Brandon went over the condition check with us and was also very friendly. We chose Budget just because it had a one-way car available for a short-notice reservation. We will actively choose Budget in the future because of the level of service we received courtesy of Shawn and Brandon.

The passenger area was very dirty. The steering column was gross and everything in the back rattled.

They called an hour ahead of pickup time and cancelled my reservation. They said they were overbooked and “left the reservation system up by accident.”

I rented a car, when I got there after signing papers , the informed me they were giving me a Nissan work truck. The out side of the truck was terrible. Scratches, dings, dents, paint stains, over all it was dirty and a mess. The inside was somewhat clean. Most everything worked. Could not secure vehicle, the cab sliding window in rear, was broken and no latch. Key fob had a bad battery. Had to use key to lock doors, FOB gave me trouble starting vehicle. Only had less then half tank of gas. It was a one way trip with a drop off. I don't know why they wouldn't give me the car I rented. I rented a car because my wife had fallen at the airport and did located her shoulder a d suffered a fracture. We spent the day before in the hospital, where the had to sedate her to get her arm back in place. She was bound up to keep her arm in place and was on mild medication. She was very uncomfortable on the ride home. Stiff riding suspension. I don't know if I would rent from Hertz again. Depends on your response.
