Cheap Car Rentals in Twin Lakes, Fort Lauderdale from AED 204/day

This was the 4th or 5th time I was charged for gas when I returned the tank completely full. I've used Fox for more than 30 rentals over the years, but this was my very last. Not because of the fuel issue, they've gotten out of hand with the post-rental charges, and miscommunication. If you're going to, without notice, later charge my card for a slew of fees then at least be consistent. Sometimes I am charged fees and surcharges, sometimes I am not. Sometimes the return is fine, sometimes I am charged for non-existent damage. Get it together.

There was a long line at check in and when we finally get to the desk after about 45 min, the associate spent a long time trying to sell us many things that we did not need or want. Also, the car had a smell that would not go away.

Hello I first came to your location a half an hour earlier to find out that the car was dirty when I receive the car 45 minutes later the car was full of cat hair dog hair I was very upset I did tell them I was not taking that car they need to get me another car which then they had to go another half an hour to get a different vehicle when I receive the vehicle getting on the road I observed a check engine light was on at that moment I had no time to turn around already hour and 15 minutes late leaving I was very unhappy I didn’t mention it to them

Wrong car that was too small to fit my family and luggage. Nobody at Hertz could help me because I was a prepay (kayak) customer. I was stressed about the return the whole week.

The Enterprise situated at Executive airport where we had made original reservations, first had promised to shuttle us from FLL to pick up the car to then tell us that they don’t do that. Also to make matters worse, then told us the car we had rented wasn’t available, thirdly left us hanging on hold for over 30 minutes and never came back on the line. So we were stranded at FLL for a very long time. Thankfully Enterprise rent a car at FLL got us the exact car we needed.

Went to the FLL airport enterprise counter and was rudely told that my car was not at this location and they had no car's and I had until 6pm to get at the other location. I was then told to take a cab or Uber. I took a cab for $60 to the other location where I was told, while they closed the door in my face.........that they had no car's and they were closed and couldn't help me. Luckily the cab waited and took me to my hotel for another $50. I will NEVER again use enterprise . Poor customer service experience rate them a zero.

Drop off was easy. The manager handled it.

The car I reserved was NOT provided. I reserved a Cadillac. When I arrived, I was offered a choice between a Challenger or a Jeep Wrangler. UNACCEPTABLE. The agent who assisted me was surly. Refused to give me her regional managers contact info. Terrible customer service.

I paid less than I reserved. The young man st the counter helped when customer service on phone was rude and didn’t help

I waited over 5 hours for a car because they were sold out even though I had a reservation through you. Customer service on the phone hung up on me and kept saying they couldn’t help me find another location. They didn’t adjust my rental time for the same rate when it was there fault the cars were not there. The phone representative suggested I was late or the rental agent was incompetent. I had to drive across country in less than 24 hours to avoid a late fee even though I technically wasn’t late. I was given a free upgrade which was not good because the gas mileage sucked

After a tremendous amount of time, inconvenience, and multiple visits, we were finally given a vehicle that met our needs.

Our reservation made almost 3 months in advance meant nothing. We needed a minivan for our vavation, and there were none to be had.

Nothing, absolutely nothing

The facility was terrible. There was not a lot of help, the employees on pick up and drop off were slow and disinterested. Customer service was clearly NOT a priority. The car itself was terrible. It was expensive and not as described. It had 36K miles so it was older but the condition was terrible. The cloth seats in the interior were stained beyond any rental I have ever seen and there was a disgusting smell like fast food in the car for the duration of my rental. I had to buy 2 car fresheners for the vents and they did not even help in eliminating the smell. Another man that I was speaking with when I was dropping off my car was complaining that the car he just rented from them had bald tires. The rental company was disgraceful. I have rented many cars, especially in the past 3 years. I will NEVER rent from this company again.

We had a rental car reserved and picking up at 6pm. Guess what? Rental car location is closed at 6pm! Tried to get one at the airport & they wanted to charge us 3x the price. Thank goodness for uber, because this was awful

Our confirmation indicated that there was a shuttle that would pick us up at the airport (just call the number provided). When we called the number (954-731-0701) at the rental location, they told us that they did not have a shuttle and that we would have to get a cab. That was the start of our unbelievably bad experience with this Thrifty location. After spending $30 for a cab to get to the place, we were told that they had no more full sized cars, which we had reserved. The only choice we had was a minivan, so that is what we got. As we left the parking lot, I noticed that there was less than a quarter tank of gas and there was a maintenance notice on the dash. I called the office and they said that we just had to return the vehicle at the same level of gas and that the maintenance notice was probably just for an oil change and just to "ignore it". Unfortunately, when we dropped off the vehicle at Orlando, they attempted to charge us for gas at $9.99 per gallon. I then had to go to the customer service desk in the terminal to get the charges taken off. We have traveled for many years and I have to say that this has been the worse car rental experience I have ever had and I will never use Thrifty again, and that Hertz should investigate the Lauderdale Lakes location in order to preserve the Hertz brand.
