Easy to find the outlet in discovery center. Welcoming , helpful desk staff. Car rental was efficient. Getting to the vehicle in the hotel parkade was a bit of a maze. No problem driving out. Dropping vehicle off in morning was going back into maze in parkade.. but was completed. Helpful staff at vehicle return

I booked a car at a specific location and the third party pushed the confirmation to another location. Not only did I have to take a Lyft/Uber to a location outside of where I originally booked the car. I waited in line for 1 hr at the location I wanted only to be told my reservations weren’t at this location and they wouldn’t honour the reservation price and the new price was over 3X’s my booking cost.

Car was satisfactory for our purpose, but I waited an hour at first counter and another half hour at second counter to get car...outside mirrors had a bad film on the that could not be cleaned off...it was hard to see through them. Passenger seat could not be adjusted... and when I brought it to return desks attention no one even apologized.

I booked to pick up at Hnl airport come to find out they sent my reservation to another pick Up location without telling me I lost my reservation because I couldn’t get to the new pickup location and lost money due to it not being refundable. Terrible will never use them again

I arrived at 8:30 to pick up car, I didn’t get car until 11:00. Renting a car shouldn’t be this difficult. The car I got wasn’t cleaned or filled with gas. I only needed car for 1 day but I received car so late that I wasn’t able to accomplish my tasks.

Staff at both the desk and up in the rental garage were awesome. We received an amazing upgrade which enhanced our day's driving experience!

The car's service light went on for Oil Chage almost immediately after we left with the car and by the time we returned in the afternoon the Add Engine Oil light was on, so while it didn't really impact our drive, I was a little worried by the time we got back.

Instruction to reach the parking lots could be much user friendlier. They jiust handed over the printed paper that explained how to get there in Japanese ( we ate from Japan). They could tell us a little bit more detailed instruction verbally in Rnglish.

I liked that the car was in good shape and we didn't have any trouble with it. The instructions for picking up and dropping off the car were straightforward.

The customer service woman who helped us with the paper work when picking up the vehicle was beyond rude and unfriendly. At one point, she even made me feel belittled when there was a miscommunication about purchasing vehicle insurance. She did not belong in customer service. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had...that is not an exaggeration. I also was shocked to find out that Budget wanted to charge me an additional $400 to drop the vehicle off at the airport, instead of in Waikiki (which is obviously more inconvenient for us). We had to drive the vehicle into the busiest streets of Oahu and catch an Uber to the airport. I can't imagine why Budget would charge $400 extra to drop the vehicle off at the airport location.

They answered the phone when I called before booking to ensure the car I booked would be the car I get.

Staff@pick up was not helpful. Couldn’t answer questions or explain why what was on website was different than what they were telling me. It should be explicitly stated that an additional $200 hold will be put on the card you plan to use. I requested @booking to drop off at airport - not option

I liked nothing. It was a doomed reservation from the start, where the car wasn't at the right location.

I went to pick up the car at the airport, only to find that the reservation was made at another location - a $50 cab ride away. I was told I could get the car there, but that it would cost $1478 instead of the $328 that I originally booked - for the same car and the same time frame. This was done in error (not sure who is to blame) but they could have been a little nicer about it and they definitely could have worked with me on that rate. But instead, they wouldn't budge and that makes me NOT want to ever use AVIS again!
