The staff accused me of incurring damages on the car when I dropped it off. The damages were existing slight scratches that I didn't even notice when I picked the car. They reported it as an accident to my insurance and forced me to file a claim against them. Besides the extra stress of potentially running late to my flight after 30 min of arguing with them, I had to deal with follow up and an "accident" on my record. I will never rent from them again.
If they are going to hold me accountable for minor scratches, they should provide a small card at check in that allows me to record existing damages or otherwise sign off that there was no existing scratches.
