Car smelled like smoke

They said that they had a car of us and we had our confirmation number. But when we went there to go pick it up. They said that they didn’t have any cars available and would call us when they do. Was a waste of my time and ruined my plans for the day. Then at 1am in the morning Budget emailed me and said that they now had a car available. I did not respond I was asleep. I would not recommend this company!!!!!

Nice car great on gas

The person at the Avis in Miami was great, he did everything he could to help…..But the location did not have the car class available due to a required oil change or other cars not being ready because they were not turned over since drop off…. the remaining cars were not in the same class. The car was not clean, said it had a full tank of gas when it was 3/4.

The location did not have a single car, and they didn’t tell us before we bought train tickets to go pick up the car. Then they would not help us find a new car in a different location. We bought more train tickets to the airport where they had cars but they charged us an extra $500, not honoring our booking. Then the rental car got a flat tire and we had to pay to get it fixed because Avis emergency roadside maintenance took hours.

Rental was NOT at airport, adding $60 in taxi fares to get back and forth to Avis site in the city. Their office was being renovated, so they were sharing offices with Budget. Small, dark, creepy, way too busy for such a tiny building, and grossly understaffed. There were NO CARS AVAILABLE. Our reservation was for 11AM, didn't receive a vehicle until 1:30. Car was just okay. I'll never use Kayak again based on this initial experience.
