We waited for more than 45 minutes to get the airport shuttle to Midway, and finally gave up and instead took the bus to Uber/Lyft and paid for a ride to Midway. Then we waited more than 1 hour in line to get to the counter. On the return, we couldn’t get the door for refueling open to gas up. We called and went to two separate gas stations after they called back. The their instructions didn’t work. Waiting for the shuttle bus was again problematic because it never came, so we ended up taking the shuttle from an adjoining hotel. Needless to say, we almost missed our flight home.

I asked for self fueling on return. I filled it up to the top of the tank and saw later I was charged for 6 gallons at 14$/gallon on my receipt. An absolute rip off ! never with Hertz again !

I was by myself with two big suitcases and one carry in luggage. I wish there was a ride or something so I wouldn’t have to drag my luggage all over. All other services were good, everyone was helpful.

Drop off location in Vegas is very hard to find. It was at the 10th floor in the parking garage .. no sign until you are up there.. drop box was so small with no sign… took us 20 mins to find drop off location and another 15 mins to find the box :(

Horrible experience! They require proof of your insurance "transferability" upon checkin or they force you to buy extra insurance. No one has the fine print of their insurance policy easily accessible. I travel and rent cars all the time, no other company does this. It's a scam to charge you more at the last minute when you're picking up the vehicle. I ended up leaving and going to a different rental car company. I know better than to deal with a place like this! Beware and go with a more trusted company.

Horrible. I had to cancel my reservation as they were requiring too much. $1000 deposit and did not take the insurance I paid for when I did the reservation. On top of that they would not take my regular car insurance and were requiring me to purchase through them. I ended up renting from somewhere else.

Poor opening hours. Ace was closed by the time my flight arrived. Kayak did not alert that closing time was within 30 minutes of pick up time.

I made a reservation and did not use it. Arrived at LAX Airport about 9:30pm. Waited to get on a shuttle. I finally asked a driver and was told ACE does not pick up?? I have to call them. I called and was told they had closed at 8pm. I was literally left on the curb at the airport. I am elderly and was told they open at 5am. I had to find another rental with someone else. Was not a fun experience.

I needed a car for 5 hrs. The quoted price by the agent on-site was way too higher than the online prices. Had to reserve a car online in order for the agent to get me a batter price. This in fact was the 2nd car I rented from dollar in last 2 weeks. First one was booked for 13 days and the agent tried his level best to up sell various additional products by giving wrong information.

Our plane was about 15 minutes behind schedule. Then we waited with rental car pickup for about 30 minutes for a shuttle that never came. I called multiple numbers and finally got a person on the phone and was told I needed to be with the hotel shuttles in a totally different spot instead of with the rental shuttles. They also let me know they had already given away our vehicle since it was about 30-45 min after our original pickup time and they had no other vans. They didn’t make it clear how to get there and then made zero effort to contact us before giving away our car. Turned the first day into a nightmare where we spent over 3 hours just trying to get a vehicle and ended up at a rental center an hour away from the airport. That means an extra $200 in Uber fees was spent and departure day was also a nightmare and we had to leave our hotel at 4am in order to make flights.
