Refused to accept card they already charged. Even with a card they would accept they wouldn’t keep the pricing. Mind you they had already charged a rental fee and a deposit that would be refunded in 7 to 10 days. Then they wanted literally double the price to keep the rental and “could not” change cards in the office so I had to call the 800 number and wait 1 hour and 17 minutes to get the fee “reduced” to 1and a 1/3 the original price and pay a new deposit. Mind you they had already charged the deposit once that I wouldn’t get back for 7to 10 days. In short my 4 day $180 deal wound up at $859 out the door. I am supposed to get half my money back as refunded deposits but we will see.

Very helpful staff
Good day. The 2 employees working at The Alameda Hertz San Jose chose not to answer the ringing phone . I began calling them on December 27th, just so as to make sure getting a driver to bring me all the way there for my confirmed car rental would not be a big waste of time. Sadly after trying to get thru on the phone , I got a ride there. Only to witness both employees letting the phone ring right before my eyes, yet never answering it once. I also was told I’d be put on a wait list for a car that was not there. The wait list was hand written on a paper with at least 30+ names ahead of me on it. #1 issues are the phone wasn’t attempted to be answered, yet there are 2 customer service employees working there. I see 1 who could answer calls every few minutes, and photograph vehicles and another who could greet customers / check in reservations. I also see that a general manager was not present to help, nor was a assistant manager there to help if it was so busy. Bottom line , no one absolutely no one tried to answer phone calls therefore waisting our time going there. Just wanted to know if there was a car there for my reservation or not before going there. Spoke to a hertz supervisor Erik on the phone to see if he could get the employees there to answer the business phone , and surprise! Erik supervisor could NOT get them to answer their business phone. He also could not get the General Manager mr Pham to answer his phone either. So a business that chooses deliberately to NOT answer calls during business hours. For safety reasons, I chose to call ahead to make sure it would it be a waste of time Togo there. But I got a driver to bring me there since no one would answer the business phone. Time terribly wasted. -Alexia
Do you have loyalty program? I am a Realtor, so I need cars for business, every day. Any discount for Realtors?
There were no cars available when I arrived! I was charged but got nothing except a lot of grief!
They had no cars and did not make an effort to get the car so I had to take a bus instead. I will never assume your reservation system and their horrible business works again.
Show all fees instead of catching your consumer off guard
Everything was smooth
Jekyll and Hyde... As I entered the building all 4 employees sprung from their chairs to welcome me. It was weird, but a nice gesture. I returned the car and was met by a pissed off guy who was just a dick. I won't use enterprise again.
Don't hire dicks
I could not extend the car for two days despite my contract stating my rate for extra day. Extortion rates given to me by Customer Service. Even had one customer service rep. insult me knowing you guys do not monitor him. He put me on indefinite hold. Never lost my cool. Simply asked a question. His reply, "this is not Mac Donalds" and "Find a Lawyer" After noticing my contract had a extended day rate. Alamo wanted close to $500 for the extra two days. I used Uber to get back home. Again never argued or lost my cool.
The pick up, and drop off went smoothly. The staff were courteous and professional.
I can’t really think of a negative point. I guess the brakes on the car squeaked a little?
