Refused to accept card they already charged. Even with a card they would accept they wouldn’t keep the pricing. Mind you they had already charged a rental fee and a deposit that would be refunded in 7 to 10 days. Then they wanted literally double the price to keep the rental and “could not” change cards in the office so I had to call the 800 number and wait 1 hour and 17 minutes to get the fee “reduced” to 1and a 1/3 the original price and pay a new deposit. Mind you they had already charged the deposit once that I wouldn’t get back for 7to 10 days. In short my 4 day $180 deal wound up at $859 out the door. I am supposed to get half my money back as refunded deposits but we will see.

Service was fast and the ladies were very nice.. I didn't like the way they split the charges of the essential services just in order to upsell unfairly.
The van is in good condition. The checkin and checkout process is fast.

Show all fees instead of catching your consumer off guard
The staff was professional an appreciated our choice of using their company. Nice selection of cars - ease of getting to the location. The return was as smooth as can be.

I made a special trip to the office ahead of my trip to verify that they could supply me with a small car. I was assured multiple times that they could & even saw a car in the parking lot to indicate the size required. On the day of my trip, I was presented with a mid size sedan and I was almost in tears. I refused the car, made a new reservation, got a ride to Hertz at the airport, and left with a Ford Focus, over 2 hours late for my trip.

Our car wasn't ready so they offered a free upgrade, fast service, no hard sale on extras. The only (2) problems we had was the guy helping us wasn't very knowledgeable about credit card issues and what he told us about how much gas we had wasn't what we had. When we returned the car it was the same amount as when we left but the guy said we were short on gas and charged us extra. Not to happy about that!!! Double play!!!

Staff was inept and inexperienced to handle a simple situation. We liked the car model.
The car was not cleaned at all. Surprising they rented out without cleaning and sanitizing in COVID times. After bringing this issue to the agent, he said he could not help it. I was mad but had no option but to take it. Myself and two of my family members cleaned the car inside out for two hours before starting the trip. Horrible experience. Won’t rent from Avis again.
The car needs a good wash
Due to a delay in our luggage arriving, we couldn't pick up the reservation as scheduled. The next day we found out the car we booked was no longer available, but fortunately the local team was able to locate it at another location, and drove us there to get it.
The person who checked us out told us one time verbally for drop off and it ended up being a time when they were closed. We had to go to a different location up for drop off
Car was not very clean inside. As usual, on pick up, they tried to scare you into more insurance.
Pickup was not at expected location. Staff was unprofessional, dishonest, and unpleasant. Rental terms were confusing and misleading. I ended up paying $175 more than expected.
I went to pick up my car and the location was closed. I spent $40 on Uber ans had to scramble to find another rental. Spent three days prior calling customer service to confirm but no one would answer. Hours of location should be detailed in the confirmation email.
They cancelled my reaervation 2 hours before pick up time. Staff was rude and unhelpful.
When I rented the car, my confirmation said that pick up was at the airport location in San Jose. When I arrived at that location the employee said it was not that location and if I wanted to rent from them it would be an additional 30% in taxes because it was at the airport. At this point I was not about to travel all over San Jose to try to locate the car because I assumed that my confirmation would have correct information. I was traveling there to move my daughter out of her college dorm room. She has finals this week so there was little time to see her to pack up her belongings so I had no choice but to pay the additional funds. Also, on the site, there was an option for rental insurance. Normally I don't buy this but because I was with someone outside my family I thought it may not be a bad idea if both of us were going to drive the vehicle. When I got to the Budget desk he had no record of that and said it was an outside vendor that I purchased insurance from. Your site is very deceiving. I will not use Kayak or Budget again after this.
