The car was clean. Drop off was nice and easy.
When I arrived, there was no one in the office at all. I got there about 20 minutes early, so I guess they were at lunch. There was a sign at the desk that said, "Call this number if we are not here." So I called the number and got a "this line is disconnected" message. The employees did arrive (in time for my appointment) and assisted me. She was very nice, but I had to deal with the headache of trying to use my debit card. They apparently don't like taking debit cards, unless you are a member of AAA or an equivalent club. She had to call and get special permission. She also wasn't sure how to process the rental because I paid for the rental in full online a week earlier. I'm not sure how those factors complicates things. I simply paid for the rental beforehand. How is that an issue? All of this caused me to have to sit there for 30 minutes and get bored on my phone as she attempted to make several calls (some of them no answer). One last thing, and this isn't anybody fault at Hertz... but the Nissan Versa is just horrible, especially compared to other Japanese cars.
