The insurance booking online was a bit misleading as we purchased online insurance and then purchased insurance at enterprise as we thought we had purchased this already.
The car I booked through enterprise was 'reserved' at 6PM. I arrived there at 5:59 PM. Enterprise had already locked their gate. Apparently the location closes at 6PM. Kayak and Enterprise should NOT allow cars to be booked at the time the business closes. I was left scrambling to find a car because of this. I will further be upset if I am charged as this was not my fault.
The staf was very kind and helpful. they were exceptionally trying to provide a professional service.
1- i have reserved a car for a certain price through the web. but on pickup i realized it is not including any type of basic insurance. ended up doubling the rent price i intended to pay. this has made the whole deal very expensive and worthwhile. 2- the car was not as clean.
Pickup was a little bit of a wait but it was Center City on a Friday afternoon, so it was understandable.
Upon return I was hassled by a member of the hotel valet staff when dropping off the vehicle; the valet staff thought it would be funny to insist that I was in the wrong place and there was no Hertz at this location. I was frustrated by this experience and informed the attendant at the counter.
When I rented this car I didn't realize the pick up location was off site from Philadelphia International. I immediately canceled the reservation.Though the rental fee has not been charged to my credit card, a pending fee has lingered for 13 days. It needs to come off immediately.

Being from California, I was completely unfamiliar with central Philadelphia so when the drop off address is WRONG and also doesn't specify that it's not a Hertz, but instead a Marriott valet, that can cause quite the stress before a flight. Needless to say, I got lost. At drop off I was rushed and left my pillow in the back seat unknowingly- you would think the man who took the car would say something to me, but he didn't..oh well.
Booked with kayak where drop off was on Monday memorial day. When I arrived to pick up the car I was told that it's closed on Monday so I'd either have to drop off the car on Sunday or Tuesday, but the cost would be adjusted based on the current rates. Even the manager claimed they were unable to allow me to drop it off on Tuesday for the same price. I had to call the agency's customer service number to get anyone to accommodate and honor my reservation
This location was weird. Staff were in street clothes; no uniform or uniformity. I wasn’t told what kind of car I was assigned just that it was on the second floor of the parking garage. I wasn’t instructed how to get to the second floor of the parking garage where the car was located. I was told I’d need a ticket to get out but since they weren’t able to provide one, I’d just need to let the security guard know so they’d let me out. And I was instructed upon returning the car to bring the ticket from entering the garage and to take a picture of the mileage and fuel level so that they could use that instead of going to check themselves. I would only rent from here again if it was the only location left to rent a car from in the entire city.
Car had at least 5 very visual scratches in the paint. We found food left in the car. The outside of the cat was not washed when the cat was given to us. Overall, a disappointment
Worst decision ever to have picked up an Avis, especially in down time. They gave me a crashed car that had a tire pressure issue, got a flat tire in the 1st day I got it, the. They had no availability ti change it. I had to deopp of the car and stay car less for the rest of day while I could drive to the airport to rent with a better company.
I rented the car from 1pm 9/16 to 1pm 9/17 online, but I was delayed getting back and tried to return the car an hour late, but the place was closed when I got there. When I picked up the car nobody bothered to tell me that the office would be closing at the exact time I was scheduled to return the car (1pm on 9/17). So when I arrived an hour late, the place was locked. There was nobody there, and there was no way to return the car on site. It created a huge hassle. I had to call Avis. At first they told me I would have to return the car the following morning when the office opened up at 8 AM. Since I was leaving town I could not do that. Eventually they allowed me to return the car to the airport, and they doubled my rental rate.
Made a reservation for a rental car bc our flight got cancelled but they ran out of cars at one location. Took a city bus to a second location where the reservation customer service rep said there was a car. There also not a car. Ended up having to take a train to DC. 0/10 recommend.

After I completed my rental reservation over Kayak I got a call from Avis and told that there is no car available. I was told by Avis that they are not obligated to provide a car if the reservation is not made 24 hours prior to pick up. While this may be understandable it is not possible for customer to keep track of. In such situations a reservation option should not be presented in the Kayak app. As a customer I expect to receive the car I rented I cannot manage the possibility of overbooking. Furthermore, I had paid the insurance upfront through Kayak. Even thought the reservation is canceled by Avis I could not reach anybody from Kayak to ask for a reimbursement for the insurance payment. I could not make it to my destination and I paid for an insurance I did not use. This was a pretty bad experience all together.
