Receptionist was extremely rude. There was no car available for me even though a reservation was a made. She was quick to let me know there was nothing she could do for me. She didn’t even try and cancel for me but instead kept directing me to call a 1-800 number to cancel or else I would still get charged. Very rude lady.

The van was extremely comfortable and had a lot of modern tech. The tech was not so refined, however. The CarPlay kept rebooting mid-drive for some reason, the automatic doors were frustrating and the adaptive cruise control was horrifically incompetent. The standard cruise was great and the ride itself was superb. Very comfy and quiet ride.

They did not have the car we reserved. It took nearly 2 hours to have all of our plans rearranged and get into a vehicle. There was only one employee and he did not have their power to fix the problem. It was extremely frustrating. He was respectful and kind and I tried to be as well, but it still was a very frustrating beginning to our vacation. We had to change from four cars to three cars for our group and were not reimbursed for the fourth car that we were not given. We also had to pay extra just to get out of there. We were told to take it up with corporate. Just a big hassle!

I booked the reservation for Balboa Avenue instead of the airport location, and they refused to transfer the quote over and honor it. They wanted to charge me twice as much. So I went to Budget instead which I was able to book through Expedia.

Car was very dirty inside. I used cleaning wipes that turned black after wiping off the steering wheel. Sticky stuff on the control knobs on dashboard. Turned on air vents and smelled like cigarette smoke, which I did not catch until I had left the rental location. No windshield wiper fluid. I dropped it off at enterprise and told them, to be disregarded and now they are charing me for the smoke smell which made me sick on the drive and was not from me. WORST rental I have had.

Didn't allow me to rent a car because it was a local rental, I have a local address and I wanted to use my debit card vice credit card. I made the reservation online, but was never informed of such a rule....

quite straight-forward

I was upsold on primary insurance that was offered at the counter. I initially declined, citing that my Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card covers it. Then the rep very assertively said credit cards do not cover primary, they only cover secondary. So I went with his claim, assuming he's more knowledgeable. Turns out my Chase card does include *primary* insurance so I regret getting redundant insurance. I'm not happy about that.

Was upgraded to a minivan at no additional cost Plenty of room for 4 passengers and their luggage Vehicle was clean, and had plenty of amenities (cup holders, usb chargers, rear backup camera, etc.)

Car handled like an unbalanced washing machine. This would have easily been noticed had the agents occasionally taken the car out on the highway between rentals.

We assumed Avis rental car was at San Diego airport. We arrived at 2pm. We were informed at the Avis airport location that we rented from another location Balboa which was 30 minutes away and closed at 3pm. Avis personnel would not wait for us at Balboa. We rented from airport location at an additional cost ($60) that we did not expect. We felt Avis should mAke it clearer at booking that it is not at airport.

Both the interiors and exteriors of the vehicles that we had were dirty and damaged. Rental cars were not serviced regularly. We went through 3 vehicles; one of them died in a parking lot while we were eating lunch. Roadside Assistance was going to take more than 2 hours to reach us for a jump-start; more contractors are needed to help rental customers. We then had to drive out of our way to switch out of the 2nd car.

The Office closed at 4:00. We arrived at 4:15. What car rental office closes at 4:00? We had to have someone pick us up and the. rent the car the next day.
